TOOTHPASTE AS A BEAUTY AID






The use of toothpaste does not end with dental care, it can be used for several different purposes in ou day to day life. Toothpaste use can also prove to be a great beauty solution. 


 1.Pimples The first toothpaste use for beauty is for pimple cure. Toothpaste has a substance called triclosan. The triclosan substance in toothpaste has antibacterial properties which helps in treating the pimples. Apply a small amount of toothpaste on the pimple at bed time. The cure is expected within few days.


2.Nails Healthy nails have become history with the constant use of nail polish, nail art, fake nails etc. To retain and promotes healthy nails use toothpaste. Toothpaste protects the enamel of our teeth and for the same reason is effective for healthy nails. After taking off the nail polish, brush your nails with toothpaste. It will make them shine ans retain nail health.

3.Burns Toothpaste has proved to be a treatment for burns and stings. If applied on the burnt ot stinged area, it cures the irritation and cools off the burning sensation. If toothpaste is applied on the burnt area immediately, it prevents the occurance of blisters and also ensures quick heal of the scar.

4.Acne Scars toothpaste promotes quick heal of acne scars. Even after the acne is treated, it often leaves behind a ugly scar. Apply toohpaste on the scars regularly and leave for few hours. The anti-bacterial property helps in skin healing.

These four uses of toothpaste is a home remedy for these problem but it has to be remembered that one should not leave toothpaste on the skin for more than few hours, as it tends to make the skin dry.

More ways to treat Burns

I always put ice cubes on burns and it has worked well for me. I remember when I was a baker, getting burnt was a common thing and we used to stick our arms in the freezer whenever it happens! Of late these new ways have been circulated ,so do try it if you ever get burnt!

1. EGG WHITE


 This method is used in the training of firemen. 
When sustaining a burn, regardless the degree, the first aid is always placing the injured part under running cold water till the heat subsides. 
And next spread the egg white over the injury. 

Testimony:
Someone burned a large part of her hand with boiling water. Despite the pain she held  her hand under running water, then took two eggs, parted the yolk from the egg white and slightly beat the egg white and put her hand in it. Her hand was so badly burned  that the egg white dried and formed a white film. Later she heard that the egg is a natural collagen. 
And during the next hour layer upon layer, she administered a white layer on her hand. 
That afternoon she didn't feel any more pain and the next day there hardly was a red mark to see. She thought she would have an awful scar but to her astonishment after ten days there was no sign of the burn, the skin had it's normal colour again! 

The burned area had been totally regenerated thanks to the collagen, in reality a placenta full of vitamins. 


2. FLOUR

Testimony:

 Once I was cooking some corn and stuck my fork in the boiling
water to see if the corn was ready. I missed and my hand went
into the boiling water....

A friend of mine, who was a Vietnam vet, came into the house, just
as I was screaming, and asked me if I had some plain old flour...I
pulled out a bag and he stuck my hand in it. He said to keep my hand
in the flour for 10 mins. which I did. He said that in Vietnam, this guy
was on fire and in their panic, they threw a bag of flour all over him to
put the fire out...well, it not only put the fire out, but he never even had
a blister!!!!

SOOOO, long story short, I put my hand in the bag of flour for 10 mins, 
pulled it out and had not even a red mark or a blister and absolutley NO
PAIN. Now, I keep a bag of flour in the fridge and every time I burn myself,
I use the flour and never ONCE have I ever had a red spot, a burn or a blister!
*cold flour feels even better than room temperature flour.

Miracle, if you ask me. Keep a bag of white flour in your fridge and you will be
happy you did. I even burnt my tongue and put the flour on it for about 10 mins.
and the pain was gone and no burn. Try it! 
BTW, don't run your burn area under Cold water first, just put it right into the flour for 10 mins and experience a miracle!

the tips of the middle and ring finger touch the tip of thumb, while the index finger touches the base of thumb and little finger stretched out.

Soak your Oats!


A great number of my friends had been eating oats and had great results . Many had testified the lowering of cholesterol level. Quite a ritual - soak our oats at night, them them in the morning ? Why ? None of them knew.

I did my research and am now a faithful oats eater in the morning ! It was not as bad as I thought it will be - quite good tasting in fact even without milk or sugar. My 16 year old daughter is on it too - I sometimes add soya milk powder to hers .

I found this interesting article which explains it all:

All grains contain phytic acid (an organic acid in which phosphorous is bound) in the outer layer or bran. Untreated phytic acid can combine with calcium, magnesium, copper, iron especially zinc in the intestinal track and block their absorption. This is why a diet high in unfermented whole grains may led to serious mineral deficiencies and bone loss. The modern misguided practice of consuming large amounts of unprocessed bran often improves colon transit time at first but may lead to irritable bowel syndrome and, in the long term, many other adverse effects.

Soaking allows enzyme, lactobacilli and other helpful organisms to break down and neutralize phytic acid. As little as seven hours of soaking in warm acidulated water will neutralize a large portion of phytic acid in grains. The simple practice of soaking cracked or rolled cereal grains overnight will vastly improve their nutritional benefits.

So, Remember to soak your oats !
