Pass the Butter Please...




The people of France are some of the healthiest people on earth...maybe because their attitude is that they do not eat anything which does not have 'a mother and a father' - something which occurs naturally in nature(for example butter comes from a cow...cows have mothers and fathers)

Pass The Butter ... please.


Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back. It was a white substance with no food appeal, so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavorings.

DO YOU KNOW

Both have the same amount of calories.

Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at
8 grams compared to 5 grams.

Eating
margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

You can try this yourself:

Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things:

* No flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)

* it does not rot or smell differently because it has
no nutritional value ; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny micro organisms will not find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic! Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Okra for Diabetes ?


Please note that another name for Lady's Finger (Bhindi ) is " OKRA ".
Last month in one of TV program I learnt of a treatment of Sugar (Diabetes).
Since I am diabetic, I tried it and it was very useful and my Sugar level is in control now.
In fact I have already reduced my medicine.

Take two pieces of Lady Finger (Bhindi) and remove/cut both ends of each piece.
Also put a small cut in the middle and put these two pieces in a glass of water.
Cover the glass and keep it at room temperature during night.
Early morning, before breakfast simply remove two pieces of lady finger (bhindi) from the glass and drink that water.
Keep doing it on daily basis.

Within two weeks, you will see remarkable results in reduction of your SUGAR.

My sister has got rid of her diabetes. She was on Insulin for a few years, but after taking the lady fingers every morning for a few months, she has stopped Insulin but continues to take the lady fingers every day.

But she chops the lady fingers into fine pieces in the night, adds the water and drinks it all up the next morning.

Please. try it as it will not do you any harm even if it does not do much good to you, but you have to keep taking it for a few months before you see results, as most cases might be chronic.

Disclaimer: the above had been circulated in the internet and I have not known anyone who has tried it. However research on alternative medicine has shown that okra does help reduces blood sugar though the methodology was not mentioned.
